Hi all
I've just seen an AN client today who was scared out of her mind after watching 60 Minutes. She is intending to have a VBAC and thank goodness we had schedule this visit and I was able to fill her in on "ALL the facts". Her fears now put to rest and the plan for the VBAC still on track. Was this the response they were aiming for, I guess they didn't care about the emotional fragility of very pregnant women.
I'm still fuming.

Subject: [ozmidwifery] womans views on the 60 minutes story

Hi everyone,

I just thought I would share with you all my concerns over that dam 60 minutes story!
I belong to a "mothers" website, Essential Baby and there is a thread (conversation) going on there with nearly a 100 posts regarding the story.

It seems that the story scared the hell out of allot of woman, the part with Vanessa Gorman got to most woman and they are of the opinion that a c-section will stop this happening to them. Most are saying that they cried over the story and it has them wanting a c-section and in their words "not wanting to risk a vaginal birth"
This is not just a few woman, it is most.

Scary.
