Dear Kim, yes, midwives do administer the Vit K injection, and the Hep B injection, and whatever else is deemed "necessary" for the poor jabbed baby. Be aware also that Vit K is able to be administered orally (three doses spaced over first month of life) giving much the same prophylactic treatment as intramuscular injections. Have a look at Sara Wickham's articles and AIMS publications about Vitamin K for an alternative perspective - visit http://www.withwoman.co.uk/ Best wishes, Lois ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan & Irene" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, June 03, 2004 2:24 PM Subject: RE: [ozmidwifery] Vitamin K
