In my search of the literature I found an abundance of articles supporting delayed clamping for both term and preterm babies for various/numerous reasons which I won't go in to here at the moment. I'm wondering if any midwives out there would be willing to post their views about this issue and their reasons for practicing either early or delayed cord clamping. I'm particularly interested in whether it is evidence based, based on tradition or is it protocol for particular venues?
