Dear Nicole,
If you do decide to do Mid, depending on where you work you can avoid it to
some extent. You would not get it so much in private hosps and Birth centres
because generally those people value their health a lot more. It is
something that you learn to accept because it does happen and sometimes it
can be quite satisfying when you see them doing well after the birth. It is
also very interesting because it is so different to anything that I have
ever known. You just have to avoid thinking too deeply about what might
happen when they go home.
