desperately needed
Hi everyone,
Could you pass the word around to anyone that you know that
we a VERY short of independent
midwives in Otaki/Horowhenua (Levin) areas from March
onwards and are already turning down
lots of clients so there is lost of work about for someone wanting a 4-6 women a month caseload.
Several midwives have left or are
leaving for family reasons (including myself) and we have no
one to fill the
places.
The work is rural/semi
rural and mainly primary care with high and rising homebirth rates. There is a small rural maternity unit in
Levin and birthing centre in Otaki
with secondary care provided by MidCentral health in Palmerston North.
It is a supportive midwifery environment with good
relationships between midwives in
the immediate area and (in my experience) approachable specialist care in Palmerston. we have an active NZCOM
sub-branch in Horowhenua.
Please email me directly for more info if interested in
relocating. Mentoring provided for
new graduates as well.
