Hi Sue,
I'm in Darwin and I have some issues with the hospitals about doing placements there, but I am not the only one, and it's not only reserved for BMidders either...
I have looked further afield and found many hospitals, birth centres etc that would be willing to accommodate me, which is fantastic.
There is 1 external BMid student in Coffs harbour way, and another set to move to Sydney, maybe it's worth contacting them?

Subject: [ozmidwifery] External Bmidders from UniSA
Hi, Just wondering if any of you out there who are doing the external B(Mid) from Uni SA have had any trouble with your clinical placements?
I'm in northern NSW and have been told that there are very few local
clinical placements available, but do not want to end up doing placements in
nursing homes as was mentioned by someone on the list recently (not
neccessarily doing a Uni SA course).
Thanks, Sue
