Hi nicole:   I couldn't resist doing a quick search on Pubmed using the terms pregnancy AND "spiritual needs" I came up with  3 journal articles  which do appear to be commentories and also all more than 10 years old.   The web site is: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi and it is free.   I then entered: pregnancy AND spirituality and got 37 hits with a few research articles at the very top. If you can't get into pubmed I can make a copy of the list of articles for you.
