Just to add my two cents..... red heads are difficult to perform venipuncture on - or so the story goes!!! Maybe it is because I am blonde!! :-)

You may be right Kirsten. I read a very interesting article (in a medical journal) about how redheads respond to drugs quite differently, and in particular to anaesthetics. I found it fascinating.
