It can be difficult with little kids, but I guess this is where Daddy comes in and fills the gap when Mummy has to be at work.  I had a similar type scenario when my children were little and I had to go on evening or night shift.  We had to negotiate the best we could and when the kids felt confident, it got easier.  I realise that sometimes Daddy isn't always available and I guess we then have to wait until the chldren are a little older before we  use this model.  I hope it gets better soon.  cheers, MM
