Hi,   When I adopted the gorgeous Guan from China, I was a little alarmed that the back of her head was as flat as a plank.  She was 10 mnths old.   However, it resolved quickly, and her head is now perfect.  I carried her in the sling all the time (her muscles were a little weak from orphanage life.)
