Midwifery Practice Review-  Applications are sort for two position



The College is being funded by the Australian Council for Safety and Quality
in Health Care to develop an exciting new initiative for midwives: the
National Midwifery Practice Review (MPR) Program.  The project is expected
to commence in September 2005, and run for 12 months.



This project will develop, validate, implement and evaluate a national
process of Midwifery Practice Review. The detailed methodology of the MPR
process will be developed in consultation with midwives across Australia,
representing all areas of midwifery practice from a representative range of
urban to remote settings.





Project Leader - 1 day/week for 12 months

The College is seeking a senior midwife, with research higher degree
qualifications and project management experience, to oversee the MPR
project. The successful applicant will contribute approximately 50-70 days
of expertise to the project at competitive consultant rates.



Professional Officer - 1 year contract, full time

$70,100-$74,800 pa plus superannuation



The Professional Officer will be responsible for the research, development
and presentation of the MPR program in consultation with midwives across
Australia.  The successful applicant will be a midwife with well developed
research, analytical and communication skills, and a strong commitment to
supporting midwives to provide high quality care to women and their
families.
