(With tongue firmly in cheek)
Phoebe (Friends) had vaginal triplets a few years ago - I was amazed that an American show would have a natural birth let alone a natural multiple birth.  Then Rachel had a vaginal breech too - not diagnosed til 2nd stage. We had this discussion some time back

Dear Wendy and all,

Naturally conceived and vaginal birth of triplets happened at Parkes (home of “The Dish”) 23 years ago, before ultrasound was available locally.

We were confident of twins, all babies did well.  These days we are not allowed to birth twins!

Subject: [ozmidwifery] triplet birth

Hi all, have been lurking for a while, love the interesting discussions, thankyou. I'm a  married mum of two and hospital midwife by convenience. Anyway, at work last week a woman came in at 32 weeks , triplets, in good labour at 7 cm, all head down,  off to her c/s as planned with a huge amount of fuss, mum stressed out to the max. I understand all the risk factors and the reasons for a c/s ( prem as well) just wondered if anyone out there has been at a triplet vaginal birth in Australia? Despite the risks I just had this big gut feeling  that everything would have been all right. The babies were all fine except the third who needed a bit of CPAP once they got into the nursery. My Auntie had a vaginal birth of triplets in a community hospital in Perth in 1979, she's vague on the details but all was OK with the boys.

thanks Wendy.
