Must weigh in on this delightful thread with my 'stopping' breastfeeding story...
Jake turned 4 in July, about 3 months beforehand, when he was down to one feed in the evenings, if that, he told me that he thought he'd nearly drank all my milk. I agreed that he had indeed drunk a lot of milk in his time, and the next night he had a few sucks, sat up and said "I think I've just had my last mouthfuls"! And that was that!
