[ozmidwifery] Breastfeeding help in Mackay

Hi I have a friend who birthed last week at the Mater and is having probs with flat/inverted nipples. Very damaged and is AF as of yesterday. She is quite motivated to breastfeed.   Any one have any suggestions as to who she can see up there? (had already been back in to the hosp and was told under no circumstances to give the baby EBM with blood in it!!). Im still 3 weeks away from moving up there so cant help for now, except on phone! Sounds like maybe a bacterial infection beginning on nipples but no sign of mastitis yet. But nipples are too painful to even express right now, I have discussed pain relief and importance of expressing Just spoke with her and she is going to call the LC at the Mater (Toni?) but I would love to be able to offer her some options in case she cant get help there.
