What I meant was the sp wont open any files within any sites of the site ("web
application")

Its all default and I havnt even got round to configuring anything as I cant
get sp designer to work. Its using standard AD auth.

Explorer view and multiple upload work correctly.

Regards,

Trent

"the whole web application is playing up" - How?
Are you using standard out-of-the-box AD Authentication? If you have switched
the site to say use Forms Auth then you can't connect to it with SharePoint
Designer. Also - does the "upload multiple files" or "Explorer View"
functionality on lists work in your site?

I should note that the whole web application is playing up not just one site.

The web app was created the way I always create them through central admin.

How did you create the site?

I had this problem once but cannot for the life of me remember what I did. I
know had something to do SPD evilness though.

Subject: SP Designer

Hi,

I am having a great deal of trouble with sharepoint designer and a new site
that has recently been created on our server.

Whenever I try to open a page I get the following message:

[cid:[email protected]]

I have google'd it and most people are saying to try and recycle the app pool
but this has not worked for me. Does anyone have any other ideas what could be
causing this stupid error.

Thanks

Regards,

Trent
