Hi Chris, We're still having this problem with some users. Do you have multiple WFEs?
First thought that it was a caching issue on certain systems but I think it's actually related to the "Config refresh" timer which is supposed to synch content and update changes across the application servers. Check your Event logs on the SQL box to see if there are any refused connections from a particular WFE. User opens excel/word document 2. Clicks Check Out 3. Works on document from SharePoint Drafts (have checked file manually and contains updates.) 4. Saves / Closes Document and Checks In using the word interface. The new version of the document is now without changes. If I do the same on a similar machine no issues, if I replace step 4 on her machine with using the web interface to check in as part of the document library, it works as expected, seems to be a office problem but wouldn't know where to start.
