You can go one step further and write some vba to re-create the list from scratch, or to refresh the list every 5 minutes....
The main issue we have found with excel lists linked is that formatting etc and computed columns aren't catered for as nicely, so you need another sheet looking at the list.. e.g. If you have a computed column, the fields that make up the computed column come out as well! That being said, Microsoft Access does a very nice job and is what Microsoft is Pushing...... Also there is an add-on for Excel 2007 that enables two way synchronization as long as you save your workbook in Excel 97-2003 format....... The issue is it's refreshing the data every 60 minutes, however I have it ticket to refresh in the background. Is there a server setting somewhere that you set it to refresh every 5 minutes or something? I can tick the box that enables excel to refresh every X minutes. ________________________________ Support procedure: https://www.codify.com/lists/support List address: [email protected] Subscribe: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] List FAQ: http://www.codify.com/lists/ozmoss <http://www.codify.com/lists/ozmoss> Other lists you might want to join: http://www.codify.com/lists <http://www.codify.com/lists> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Support procedure: http://www.codify.com/lists/support List address: [email protected] Subscribe: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] List FAQ: http://www.codify.com/lists/ozmoss Other lists you might want to join: http://www.codify.com/lists
