I don't agree, I have done it this way many times. Can you point me to some doucmentation that states otherwise, I'd love to know? From what I understand, the execution of the config wizard updates the database schema (among some other bits and bobs), but why would executing them linearly one after the other cause an issue? It would be pretty much the same as installing and configuring a WSS box, patching it to SP2, installing MOSS over the top and installing SP2 - right? Wrong? After the MOSS SP2 (which probably doesnt even modify the schema, as most of these would be done in the core SP2 on wss), it probably just updates the assemblies. Even if it did do another upgrade on the schema, it should know how to upgrade from WSS SP2 -> MOSS SP2. Why would it cause an issue?
