This may be a long shot, but if the SQL reporting services site and Sharepoint are on the same server, you could be getting the 401 error due to a "security feature" called loopback checking. Try Method# 2 from this : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896861, just create that reg key and see if the problem still occurs. I am having trouble when I add the report viewer webpart I just enter in the URL of the report on the native mode server it doesn’t say it exists. Is there something else I need to configure in IIS ?
