Hi Paul,
>From memory (Haven't done this is awhile) the MyHost Host should appear as a template when creating the new webapp/site collection. -DB From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Paul Noone Sent: Tuesday, 26 May 2009 3:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Rebuild SPP and My Sites path I know I'm missing something obvious here but really need some help. For reasons left unsaid I needed to rebuild our dev farm's SSP and create a new web app for My Sites. I did both and then associated all web apps with the new SSP and deleted the old one (included DBs). I've also performed the following: Added the webapp URL and location (personal) to the My Site Settings page in the SSP Checked to see that the content DB was created and associated correctly. All good. So now I browse to my primary site and hover over the My Site link. The URL reflects my new web app. Great! But when I follow the link I get a 404. L If I then explicitly type _layouts/MySite.aspx at the end of the primary site domain it creates the My Site! I notice there's also a managed path of 'mysite' with Explicit inclusion for this web app. How do I make it create them at the right location?? I think the step I missed was to provision a My Site Host (collection) for the new web app. I didn't do this when creating the web app and I can't see how to do it now. I only get a managed path option of /personal or /site for this web app. Regards, Paul Online Developer, ICT CEO Sydney _____ Support procedure: https://www.codify.com/lists/support List address: [email protected] Subscribe: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] List FAQ: <http://www.codify.com/lists/ozmoss> http://www.codify.com/lists/ozmoss Other lists you might want to join: <http://www.codify.com/lists> http://www.codify.com/lists -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Support procedure: http://www.codify.com/lists/support List address: [email protected] Subscribe: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] List FAQ: http://www.codify.com/lists/ozmoss Other lists you might want to join: http://www.codify.com/lists
