In the External Data section, in the Connection Lifetime box, type a value in
seconds for the maximum time for a connection to remain open. Connections that
expire are re-opened when the next query is received (type -1 to never close
and re-open connections).

have a try

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if there are any Excel Service gurus out there that might be
able to help me and my client. We are having trouble getting excel services to
refresh the data onload when connecting to a sharepoint list. Does anybody know
if this is even possible. I have selected the option to refresh data onload
when the connection datasource but it doesn’t actually refresh. Even forcing a
refresh through the webpart doesn’t accutally refresh.

My client has some fantastic pivot tables working but its displaying out of
date data.

Has anybody got this to work before? Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated. Even if I can get a confirmation that it cant be done.

Regards,

Trent
