Hi ken You will be ok running 64 bit front ends and 32 bit SQL. Performance is better with 64bit blah blah blah but not an issue otherwise

Hi Guys, After some time testing out SharePoint, I am about to install our live server on a Windows 2008 R2 RC x64 system. I just wanted to know if installing a x64 version of Sharepoint, requires a x64 SQL server? Not a major problem if it does...just a pain in the ass installing another SQL server for it (although would end up migrating old DB server to it also I guess). We currently run a SQL 2005 x86 server, will that suffice for my new x64 MOSS 2007 installation? Late on the year I would like to migrate the SQL to x64...but I want to do it when we migrate that whole SQL server, not just for MOSS if I can get away with it.
