Still not sure if this was the right path to take. The first one fails with "Failed to find the XML file at ..\feature.xml. And the WSSRemoveFeature tool requires a scope of either sitecollection:site. This feature has a scope of ScopeInvalid. Also, although I deactivated the other features the WssAnalyseFeatures tool still reports them as uninstalled. Basically they didn't want to give anything away about SP2010 before the appropriate time, hence the dud links at the moment. Once the NDA is lifted you will find all of the KB articles from the pre-upgrade check reports actually work. The report suggests installing these and then refers you to KB article 954762 in the rule article list at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=120257. Unfortunately the KB article doesn't seem to exist the the URL offers nothing that's related to this issue. I'm not even sure I want to install the features. In the case of the first one it is redundant and should definitely not be reinstalled. I would like to identify where this feature is being referenced and then remove all trace. The second one, IPFS, relates to Forms Sevrer which I don't have installed, so no idea why it's listed.
