Yeah, do it to all WFE. The reg/docicon is to add the PDF icon (use the 17x17
one provided here: http://www.adobe.com/misc/linking.html) in the search
results or within a doc library (under type).

I did it to all servers in the farm. But from memory, I read up somewhere that
is should be on the front end servers (I could be wrong though).

Subject: Adobe iFilter - couple of questions

Hi all,

I'm just looking at the post-installation configurations for PDF iFilter and
have a couple of questions.
http://www.adobe.com/special/acrobat/configuring_pdf_ifilter_for_ms_sharepoint_2007.pdf

When the instructions talk about -- verifying correct registry entries, adding
the icon to /LAYOUTS/IMAGES, and including entry to DOCICON.XML -- is this for
all WFEs, or just the index server where Acrobat Reader was installed?!?

I'm going nuts with this thing. :)

Regards,

Paul
