Hi All,
I am trying to backup and restore a web application and a site collection in
the same server to a different instance. And I do the following.
1. Restore the existing content database to a new database instance in SQL
Server.
2. Create a new web application by connecting it to the new database instance.
3. Take the site collection back up using stsadm.
4. Restore the site collection to a new site (based on newly created
webapplication).
I can access and login to the new site collection (all the librabries and lists
appear properlly) but the problem is, 'Site Actions' and 'Navigation' menus
doesnt seems to be working, site actions doesnt appear and the navigation menus
also doesnt work, only the links in the navigation headers are working.
Can you please let me know whether I miss anything in my restoring process?
