Well change there way of thinking and present a better solution then :).

Or give everyone here more details as its hard to understand what is trying to
be achieved.

The issue is that it's additional unplanned work for the views and navigation :)
They end up with 25 sites and each site should have about 4 lists and each list
requires such "folders"
We would consider scripting site and folder creation, but with view and custom
navigation it tends to be a slightly daunting task :)

Hi,

You can link to Views from the navigation.

That's what we end up temporary. But the issue is that users need to update
values in such "folders" 4 times per month. And in case of custom field and
views we need to emulate such behaviour via navigation :(

Hi,

Could you use a Custom Column instead of a folder to organise your list by
metadata rather than folders, and point the second indicator at that list?

Or you could just say Where Custom Column = X.

Subject: KPI and folders?!

I wonder if there are any solutions that allow to use folders with the KPI list?

Scenario:
1) new Blank site, create the custom list with the name "Values" and add
"price" numeric field; add two entries with prices. In the same list create the
folder "myfolder" and add the third entry inside the folder.
2) Create KPI List and add new entry. Point indicator to use my "values" list.

So far so good. Now, I'd like to add the second indicator for the "myfolder"
content!

Whatever I tried to do (creating view, creating folders via different content
types) I won't be able to set KPI to use values from folder.

While googling I found several mentions that it's a bug, but no workarounds for
such sample.
Can somebody shed the light on this issue?!

PS: SharePoint 2007 + SP2 + Oct CU
