Man, I didn't notice that the "Allow user to edit data in this field by using datasheet or properties page" box was unticked when promoting the fields! I feel like an idiot! Been trying to figure it out all day...

This is what I am doing. 1. Create form 2. Publish form and promote the required columns so that they are available in the library 3. Open SPD and Create a new workflow 4.
