Office uses "owssupp.dll " component to edit in datasheet view. You can find it in the Office folder and register manually via "regsvr32 owssupp.dll "
I would recommend to use DependencyWalked (http://www.dependencywalker.com/) to find all referenced that dll refers to From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Paul Noone Sent: Wednesday, 19 May 2010 11:10 AM To: ozMOSS Subject: Datasheet requirements - MS Office? Hi guys, Does anyone know precisely what the minimum requirement is for Datasheet View to work on the client? There is conflicting information all over the place and we have a burning need for this view to be available to users who DO NOT have Office installed. My understanding is that this functionality is provided by an ActiveX control that is installed with either Excel 2003 or Access 2007. My questions are: . What is the name of this control, . where can I find it, . and could it be provided as a stand-alone download for end users? Cheers, Paul
