Check to make sure you have the latest CU applied. I had the same problem around 6 months ago and applying the latest CU at the time resolved it. I didn't need to reset anything.

Any thoughts on why it isn't getting stats again?...does it use a service account to track this information etc? Maybe I have to update with a password change etc..?
