Cheers for that, but external RSS feeds work just fine, just ones in the same
site collection or the mysite host that are not working at all.

The other option... is to use Proxy settings in the web.config

See:
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/community/aspnet/18/10025508/sharepoint-rss-web-part-a.aspx

Here is some more info:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa903360(VS.71).aspx

The awesome bit about this is that you can supply a .Net Class to handle it all
for you and it can supply credentials that have external access. See
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.net.iwebproxy_members.aspx I
have used this at clients where the 'average' user does not have internet
access but they still want to consume a RSS feed on the homepage. It is
totally transparent to the end users and requires no special config i.e.
Kerberos. Here is a code example:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/zwsong/archive/2010/02/17/configure-sharepoint-servers-to-use-proxy-with-credentials.aspx

I remember one of my team member having similar issue in 2007 and he said
changing to kerberos fixed it.

Enterprise wiki is a template type in SP2010. I've made the rss feed anonymous,

issues. Will try Kerberos instead.

Once again, all this information is MOSS 07 only...

If your Enterprise Wiki is internal, then you need to make sure you are using
Kerberos as your authentication protocol, as this will let SharePoint pass your
credentials through. This is both your MOSS instance and your Enterprise Wiki
(I'm assuming your Enterprise Wiki is not SharePoint..?)

If your Enterprise Wiki uses a completely different authentication method,
short of custom-coding something, i'm guessing there's going to be no easy way
to get that functionality. I would reccomend just hooking into the RSS feed in
your rich-client RSS reader (Such as Outlook).

Does SharePoint 2010 support authenticated RSS streams? One of the big
problems with the 2007 equivalent was that the RSS feed had to have anonymous
enabled.

The requested RSS feed could not be displayed. Please verify the settings and
