To be perfectly honest, I've experienced random crashes with IE8 since it was released :p
SharePoint related, it does crash randomly, but I haven't paid much attention to it. The only way I've seen to replicate a crash is when a page has <span> tags in the HTML (people copying and pasting form word, 1 page in particular had 93kb of span tags) *Please ensure that you log all issues or requests with the IT Service Centre. I say randomly because it doesn't seem tied to anything in particular. Yesterday it did it when trying to open an Explorer view of a list, Monday it did it going to Site Content and Structure view, just now it did it trying to "Sign In as a Different User". From memory last week it happened simply saving the edits on a page. It's only been happening in the last week and all I can attribute it to is the windows update that happened last week - other than that nothing else has really changed. Anyone else experiencing this (we're still on MOSS 2007).
