I can't remember if it's a 404 error that is thrown when the application pools aren't running.
Ken, Check the application pool's for the website, also check the application pool accounts. IIS6 or IIS7.5? Hey All, Yesterday at about 2-3pm SharePoint just started displaying 404 errors for everyone on the main application website (port 80). No changes to sharepoint or its database had been made at all yesterday. I have restored a backup of the SharePoint server from the weekend and also a previous version of the database from the start of the week....I still just get 404 errors....!!!!????
