So I went ahead and did this anyway and now I'm having trouble adding the
server back to the farm. :\

No errors appear in the diagnostic log after running the config wizard. But
when I try to re-apply the former services for this server they become stuck on
Starting.

I'm pretty sure this was due to a bad app pool (and identity) which I've since
deleted. But I can't seem to get these services off Starting...and have no idea
how to stop/restart them or identify them by name.

Help please.

Regards,

Paul

Subject: Disconnect and reconnect farm server

Hi all,

We have a WFE which is acting up and suspect it was never added properly to the
farm. It's been suggested that dropping it and then adding it again properly
may resolve our issues.

The server is fully accessible so I was planning on using psconfig for this
task.

Can anyone confirm the following steps and add anything that I might have
missed?

1. psconfig -cmd configdb -disconnect

2. psconfig -cmd configdb -connect

3. Run the configuration wizard.
Kind regards,

Paul Noone
