Hi Vijay, Hyper-V is Microsoft's Hypervisor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypervisor) implementation for Windows Server 2008.
Generally speaking, a Hypervisor is a software layer that allows guest operating systems to interface with the hardware and resources on the host machine. Just googled for "how to tell if Hyper V is installed" and got this as the second result: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverhyperv/thread/dce2a4ec-10de-4eba-a19d-ae5213a2382d/ Joe.
