See the problem is end users, using an SPList as a FileStorage location.

I haven't looked at document sets though.

Don’t use folders. At least that’s what I’m advocating and now mowing to.

You can do so much more with list views and a few custom columns.

Not sure how this applies to Document Sets in 2010?

So I think we're all aware that there is no end-user functionality out there to 
enable a user to move a file/item in a particular list to a folder in that same 
list.  There is copy to but that doesn't "move" it.

Has anyone seen any impl's around the place for SharePoint 2010?

I know the user can open the list in Explorer Mode, but that doesn't help for 
Safari / MAC users.
