Perhaps you need to explicitly reset the index, then perform a full crawl. There’s actually a difference between performing a full crawl, and resetting the index (can’t remember the specifics, but something to do with it not clearing the property store).
Also, are you 100% sure that someone hasn’t accidently/or otherwise set that property to not be included in the index?
