Muhammed,

not sure what reading or googling you've already done on 'offline
Silverlight'; here's a few links i've bookmarked - apologies to others
who're already familiar with them - note i'm *paraphrasing *here, i've no
more hands-on experience with Mesh than the next guy...
Basically it seems like you will need to build your Silverlight on Azure
(special project type in Visual Studio) and publish it such that it is
'aware' of being in a browser or a special 'host' exe (similar to AIR; read
the first link for more). Your offline users will need to have that 'host
exe' installed for Silverlight to run inside - so 'offline Silverlight'
won't be just a XAP on your desktop. At least that's my understanding - if i
ever get to build something with it i'll be happy to share the results. Full
Mac support seems a little way off too (see link 3) - this stuff could be in
ctp/beta for 18 months or more, so not sure i'd start planning a release
around it right now?

Computers that are joined to a Mesh need a runtime called the Live Operating
Environment (LOE), a local server that synchronizes its data with the online
Mesh. The Mesh CTP adds the ability to deploy applications within the Mesh
and to access both the online and local Mesh programmatically.
When you install a MEWA, it automatically creates shortcuts on both the Live
Desktop and on your local Mesh-joined PCs. Running the MEWA from the desktop
opens the application in its own window, with no surrounding chrome, and it
runs offline as well as online. The runtime includes an embedded web
browser, which means you can run both Silverlight and HTML applications; in
principle you could even use it for a Flash application though I have not
tried this.

To build Mesh-Enabled Web Applications you need access to the Live Framework
SDK and
Tools<http://jonas.follesoe.no/ct.ashx?id=81378618-cefb-4d67-ac27-b48bb16cc57d&url=http%3a%2f%2fdev.live.com%2fliveframework%2fsdk%2f>.
The SDK is currently only available in a private CTP, and to get access you
need to apply for a token through the Microsoft
Connect<http://jonas.follesoe.no/ct.ashx?id=81378618-cefb-4d67-ac27-b48bb16cc57d&url=http%3a%2f%2fgo.microsoft.com%2ffwlink%2f%3fLinkID%3d130226>site.
Once you have downloaded and installed the SDK you get a new project type
called Live Framework, which comes in two flavors; "Mesh-enabled Web
Application" and "Silverlight Mesh-enabled Web Application". The difference
is that the first one is for writing JavaScript and HTML based
Mesh-applications, while the second is for Silverlight applications that use
the Live Framework libraries.

with quite aggressive timeline for PDC release with the current level of
resources and CTP goals, we could only test XP SP3/Vista SP1 and IE7. We
will eventually support Mac and Safari but this is not an immediate priority
in the near future for CTP
