I agree with you john... sadly (even when talking about audiciences is important) the way it is presented is lacking enegy and point to its value.
While sl.net tries at its best to be the one single place of shop to sl related stuff, it is still far from been a "community site" a it is more of an msdn site with a "pretty" face. while msft.com/sl comes to be a really poor approach of a biz site. The site even looks like of a low maintance, which to my surprise holds a link to mix 09. If msft would like to have a real community site they should better get back to their drawing board.. just as if they are targeting biz desicions makers with the msft.com one. I know Scott might be comming along similar lines when he throws questions like this to get a point of view to be seen inside (where the bright light some times doesn't shine)... but is worth as good to see from a perspective of product development.
