I did this before (pre-RTW). Had some issues with Blend, that apparently
have not been solved. Give it a try. The main "issue" is that each time you
create a new usercontrol, changing the base class isn't enough, you need to
change other tree places (class in XAML, open and closing tag). If it's
something you could do without inheritance consider using an Attached
Property and extension methods. Clean and simple :)
