i installed all the SL3/Bend3 stuff except the new SL Tools for visual
studio....

this way you are able to play with Blend 3/SL3 while still being able
to work on SL2 applications in VS & Blend 2

the issue is that you need to do things a bit more manually....

e.g. you need to open your SL2 projects in Blend manually e.g. not via
the context menu in VS

you don't get the new features of SL 3 in VS, but Belnd 3 is really
where all the fun is anyway and you can edit you code with
intellisence in Blend 3, is not quite as nice and using VS for your
code, but alot better then Blend 2
