You could also try the /resetpkgs option when starting vs
or maybe this link might help if you installed the windows sdk

C:\Documents and Settings\[userprofile]\LocalSettings\Application
Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0, restart Visual Studio, thenrebuild the
toolbox, the (loading speed) problem goes away. It’s a longshot, but it’s a
pretty harmless thing you could try.Carl.From:

missing intellisense isintermittent. It will occasionally start working again,
but not very often, andI can’t find any pattern yet behind what’s going
on.Surely I’m not alone in having a Silverlight/WPF designer inVisual Studio
2008 what is broken to hell and back.Besides the mostly broken intellisense,
opening XAML in thedesigner causes Visual Studio 2008 to randomly and
frequently crash completelywith the “Send or Close” dialog. It will not
response to the Close button and Ihave to kill the devenv.exe task.If VS2008
restarts and the XAML file was the last one open,it will attempt to reopen it
and crash immediately. I have to manually deletethe *.suo files and restart
Visual Studio.Ignoring the fact that the designer doesn’t actually
designanything at all -- it’s just a XAML editor -- the highly unstable
experiencemakes developing Silverlight in Visual Studio a living hell and
nearly do
ublesmy development time. At Code Camps and evening SIG meetings I never hear
anyonecomplain about these sorts of issues.I was wondering if the experience
was better in VisualStudio 2010 RC, but when I created a new Silverlight
project it crashedimmediately before even loading the solution.Greg
