I was about to post a question to StackOverflow and it showed me similar questions. In one I found a link to another similar question that had the answer i was after.
RegionManager.SetRegionManager(view, this.Container.Resolve<IRegionManager>()); RegionManager.UpdateRegions(); I've added the above to my test just after I create the ViewModel (which creates the view) and now I can get the region from the RegionManager.
