Folks, our app draws Excel style tables like the sample I've pasted below (I hope you can see it somehow). I currently create this appearance manually by adding graphics primitives to a Canvas, which is pretty fiddly and delicate work as you can imagine. This been fine up until now, but there are plans to make the appearance even fancier and have mouse interaction, so before I proceed to increase my code complexity, I thought I'd ask if there are any tricks, techniques, controls or tools that could make my life easier.
The guys who wrote the original app in Borland C++ said that they never found a control capable of helping them, so like me, they draw everything you see manually using GDI. I suspect I'm in the same position, but I might as well ask. Cheers, Greg
