My implementation is a bit different, and it might be suitable for you too. Each page inherits from a SecuredPage class, and that class can overlay a logon control if the user is unauthenticated. There are a few benefits to this approach because the CurrentUser isn't necessarily available in the OnNavigation event. You have to wait for a little while until the user has been loaded before you can decide whether user is authorized or not. If you are interested, let me know and I'll email you the class.
