NM. I see you have it enabled in your initial e-mail. I've seen the HTML only issue when the extensions weren't enabled. Doesn't hurt to double check in IIS Manager, though.

It is. Tried changing it to Basic to see if that works....but that doesnt either. Since htm files work fine and the problem arises only with aspx files, I am guessing its an ASPNET issue. Will try the net 3.5 sp1 repair. On Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 7:43 AM, Wes MacDonald <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Make sure the website is set to use "Integrated" security also. Wes.. thanks for responding..When I try to access the webservice, I get a 401.1, access denied. Infact, I threw a dummy aspx file into the default website and tried to access it, but I cant access it either. IIS only lets me browse to html files, the aspx files keeps throwing the 401.1. I have done an aspnet_regiis -ua and aspnet_regiis -i. Still the same. Seems like an ASPNET issue. Any ideas? Hello Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I have done quite a few TFS installs before and this one is just straight out of the book, but I am having an issue. Details : TFS 2008 Single Server Installation Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition IIS 6.0 SQL server 2005 with SP2 (TCP enabled) The installation goes just fine and creates the databases etc, but finally it fails when the TFSValidator.exe calls the webservices with the 28925 error, saying that the Application tier cannot connect to the database tier. I have uninstalled everything once and resintalled from IIS (ASP.NET<http://ASP.NET> is enabled and Enhanced IE security is not enabled). I still keep getting that error. I have added the App pool accounts to have local activation and launch permissions on the IIS related dcomcnfg entities. I am attaching the part of the setup log file. I would really appreciate if you could help me out on this. User Wayne Teem added to Administration group.
