I'll admit up front - Sharepoint just plain confuses me. My goal here is: Windows 2008 Server Sql Server 2008 WSS3 TFS 08 SP1
To meet these requirements I've followed the instructions on slipstreaming TFS08 with SP1 - no problems there. I've installed my Windows 2008 server and I've installed WSS3. Now when I go to install TFS, I have to tell it where my sharepoint install is at: it wants to know where central admin site is, and where the default site collection is (ala http://tfs/sites ) But the problem is - I don't have the sites collection! I've followed all the instructions in the TFS install guide under "How to: Install SharePoint Products and Technologies on Windows Server" but no love. I have a default site - http://tfs but there is no sites collection off of it. I can't proceed with my TFS install without it. Any ideas how to make it appear?
