Why are you using the integration tools? Are you planning to run both servers at the same time?
If you only need to migrate (not synchronize), and you'll work only with the new server, you can do an standard migration using the TFS installation program. And even you could stick with the same server, by migrating it from one domain to another as documented here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms404883(v=VS.100).aspx Best regards From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Stephen Price Sent: jueves, 03 de marzo de 2011 2:32 To: [email protected] Subject: migration hey all, I'm in the process of migrating a TFS server from one domain to a new TFS server on another domain. I've done the install which I think went ok. I'm using the TFS Integration tool to do the migration. The current TFS server is using the MS Agile templates and I've created a new project on the new server with the same name, but am using the Scrum 1.0 template. It hit a number of conflicts which seem to be the default files in the new template. When I tried to resolve the conflict all I got was a single option Target changeset and Source changeset. Looking at the docs its a bit vauge one what changeset these should be. The one I want to keep? On which, Target or Source? Also the docs showed three options. I'm not fussed I just want to migrate as much as I can over to the new TFS install and can't seem to get it to go all the way through. Is there a trick to do such as delete everything in the target project, or perhaps not have a project at all? Am reading through the labs and docs now. Was hoping this step would be painless given there's nothing on the target end I want to keep. Perhaps migrating between template types isnt supported. I couldn't find anything to suggest that though. thanks in advance, Stephen
