No, there is no way to remove the link. Even after reparenting, there is still a merge relationship with the older branch. Modifying the DB will almost cause you pain and heartache - don't do that. One approach would be to take away the PendChange and Checkin permissions for the old parent, if there's no intent to use it.

Does anybody know if it is possible to remove a merge link for a branch? What I mean is the option to merge back changes to the "parent" for a branch? One of the customers branches has moved in a new direction and needs to be isolated. I've created a new Team Project and used the "branch from" option for the source code. I've tried the reparent functionality but I still got the option to merge to the parent. I guess that I could do it the hard way by change some values in the database but that really does not feels like a secure or the right way of doing it. Is there another way to solve the problem? Thanks a lot in advance! /Mike [Description: Description: Description: Description: cid:[email protected]] ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ MICHAEL GINART * ALM Consultant * [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> * Phone:+46 (0)76 105 14 29 * fax: +46 (0)8-616 87 88 * adress: Magnus LadulÄsgatan 59 * 118 27 STOCKHOLM * www.concreteit.se<http://www.concreteit.se/> [Description: Description: Description: cid:[email protected]] [Description: cid:[email protected]]
