It's a frustrating situation, we've been trying to get it to happen since the first .net beta..
We now do new stuff in .net as separate utilities, com+ wrapped services, etc, but that is not always possible. Although very little change happens to the code base these days, we still need to be able to build and release. Seems like an odd way of looking at things. Surely if its worth millions then it's worth investing on an upgrade. :) On Tue, Mar 12, 2013 at 9:00 AM, Clint Colefax <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: I agree Ian, but there are restrictions when stuck with a legacy vb6 application. We have managed to get some applications to execute on windows 7, but there are still issues with some components. Tfs 2012 requires .net 4.5, however with TFS 2012 update 2, you will be able to use TFS 2010 build agents. Still its time, beyond time to move development to windows 7. Remember that TFS express, which supports build agents, is free stuff, so there's no risk in that. I know it's not supported, just wondering. We have an old xp build machine that is going to be very painful to upgrade (it's used to build vb6 applications targeted for xp client machines).
