I hope this is of interest to some of you in Brisbane.

I have submitted a session abstract for #dddbrisbane
(http://dddbrisbane.com) and
if I get voted in I will basically share most of the WPF know-how that I've
aquired in the past five years while working on NovaMind (www.novamind.com).

Here is the abstract:

Implementation secrets behind NovaMind 5 [Patrick Klug]

[Level 300] Five years ago we set out to rewrite our entire application (
www.novamind.com) in WPF. Now, we have a fully featured Mind Mapping
application written in WPF on the market. If you ever wanted to see how a
big commercial WPF application looks behind the scenes, this is your chance.
This is not about simplified code samples or glorified theoretical best
practices. I will show you what hacks and workarounds are really necessary
to make things work in production and how we overcame the many challenges
and bugs we encountered along the way. I will also show you some of the
techniques we invented to simplify animations, background processing and
localization. You will need to have a good understanding of C# and XAML to
get the most out of this.

If are interested in this please vote for my session on the #dddbrisbane
website as chances are that I won't get to talk otherwise :)

Voting closes on Friday the 21st of October so don't forget :)

cheers and hope to see some WPF devs there.

Patrick
